Walnut Halwa (अखरोट हलवा)

Walnut Halwa (अखरोट हलवा)  This halwa is called as akhroat halwa too. Walnuts are good in good fatty acids . This halwa is often prepared during the winter months, as it is supposed to keep the body warm and protect it from the bitter winter cold.

Ingredients:

  • 1cup Walnut powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Dry milk powder
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 Green cardamom
  • 3 tbsp. Clarified butter

Method:

  1. Grind 4 green cardamoms with 1 tsp. of sugar.
  2. Take a pan and pour 2 cups milk with 1 cup of sugar and cook till it become tender.
  3. Take another pan and put 3 tbsp. of clarified butter with cardamom and cook till its start to come, add 1 cup walnut powder and 1 cup of dry milk and cook it for 10 minutes.
  4. Now add sugared milk and cook it on low flame till it combines. Dish it out and garnish it.
