Samosa Chaat (समोसा चाट) Savory snack, typically served at road-side tracks from stalls or carts in India. With its origins in Uttar Pradesh, chaat has become immensely popular in the rest of South Asia. If raving for something sweet and sour with a touch of spice? Then you should try this mouth-watering recipe, made from samosas mixed with sweet and sour chutneys and yoghurt which makes this street food to have again and again. You can also try this recipe with any kachori making it as kachori chaat.

Ingredients:

  • Butter 1 tbsp.
  • Channa masala 1 tbsp.
  • Chaat masala 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp.
  • Cumin Powder 1 tsp.
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Green chutney as needed
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp.
  • Salt 1 tsp.
  • Samosas 2
  • Tamarind & jaggery chutney 3 – 4 tbsp.
  • Tomatoes 1
  • Water as required
  • Chickpeas boiled 1 cup

Method:

  1. Take a pan add butter, chickpeas, onions, tomatoes chopped  and cook till both are  soft then add salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander, chat masala, channa masala and a little water if required and  mix well.
  1. Now add samosas mash little bit cook for 3 min then add green chutney and mix well.
  2. Transfer into a plate and top it with onions, tomatoes, sweet chutney, green chutney, curd,  and coriander leaves.

Variations: Add some grated carrot, Add some grated radish, Add some sev, Add some papdi., just make chaat with out samosa

For Tamarind Chutney

  • 100 gm. tamarind
  • 1 cup boiled water
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder

For Green Chutney

  • Coriander Bunch (washed)
  • 1 onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • Ginger to taste
  • 7-8 green chilies
  • ¼ cup water (as required)
