Kandipodi (కంది పొడి,तुअर दाल पाउडर): It is a spicy powder mixed with hot rice and ghee .Simple yet traditional recipe from Andhra. Kandipappu ( toor dal ) it self seaks it is rich in protein.

Regional Dish : Andhra;  karnataka and  South India .

Cuisine Style : Andhra | Cooking Time 10 minutes | Take it with rice , and also added to curries| Type Powder | Shelf Life : 2 weeks

Ingredients:

  • 10-15 Red chillies ( as per once taste)
  •  1 cup toor dal
  •  1/2 cup channa dal or 1 cup Dhalia (roasted channa dal)
  • jeera 1 tbsp
  •  3-4 garlic cloves
  • salt

Method:

  1. Dry roast toor dal , channa dal , redchillies and cumin seperately
  2. Allow them to cool , once they reach room temperature  grind all of them along salt and garlic in to a coarse powder
