Jackfruit Dosa (कटहल डोसा, ಹಲಸಿನಹಣ್ಣು ದೋಸೆ) is a dosa variation, this recipe is prepared by people in Kerala and Karnataka. Jack fruit dosa can be prepared in salt and sweet version. For salt we use raw jack fruit and for sweet version we use ripe jack fruit. Both the recipes have the jack fruit flavor.

Ingredients: for salt dosa
- Chopped Raw Jackfruit – 2 cups
- White Rice – 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Ghee/oil
Method:
- Soak white rice for 3 hours
- Grind this with chopped jackfruit and salt by adding water to a thin paste
- Add little water to make thick batter
- Heat tava and pour little batter over it and spread thinly and evenly over the pan
- Close the lid and allow to cook till it starts roasting
- Pour little ghee over this, remove dosa from pan
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
Variations: Add some fresh grated coconut, green chilies.
Ingredients: for sweet dosa
- 15 jack fruit segments
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1 cup boiled rice
- ½ fresh grated coconut
- 1 cup jiggery
- 1 tsp. cardamom powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- Oil for frying.
Method:
- Soak rice for 2 hrs.
- Grind all the ingredients to a thin batter, leaving oil.
- Heat tava and pour little batter over it and spread thinly and evenly over the pan
- Close the lid and allow to cook till it starts roasting
- Pour little ghee over this, remove dosa from pan and serve hot.
