Green Smoothies (हरा सब्जियों का  स्मूदीया, పచ్చటి కూరగాయలు స్మూతీలు ) Green Smoothies, now in trend are smoothies packed with odd vegetables and fruits which when blended no one can tell how yummy it becomes. The health benefits of these drinks are so many to chalk down. One great way to start a day in fact any time of the day is having a glass of these smoothies.

Some of them are Natural weight loss , Antioxidants , Rich in fiber for digestion and good health of digestive system, Radiant skin texture etc.Below are some of green smoothies that one can make at home and enjoy. The combinations are countless; try, experiment and enjoy.

  • 1 apple or pear, quartered and cored
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 2 handfuls of kale
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 10 mint leaves

Green power smoothie:

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1cup kale
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 small apple cored
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cups water

Banana Chard smoothie:

  •  1 large banana, sliced, frozen
  • 1 large orange, peeled, sectioned
  • 1 avocado, halved, pitted, peeled
  • 4 cups torn chard leaves, stems removed
  • 2 cups cold water

Green coconut mlik smoothie:

  • 1 banana, sliced, frozen
  • 4 cups chopped kale, stems removed
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

Mango green

  • 1 handful of spinach / kale
  • 1 stalk celery (Optional)
  • 1 or 2 sweet yellow mangos
  • 2 cups water

Watermelon green smoothie

  • 1 bunch Spinach/kale
  • 2 cup watermelon pieces
  • 6 strawberries
  • 1 cup of grapes
  • 1cup water

Orange kale smoothie

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 2 oranges
  • 6 strawberries
  • 1 cup of grapes
  • 1cup water

Kale-Strawberry-Peach

  • 1 bunch green kale or spinach
  • 6 pint strawberries
  • 1 small peaches
  • 2 cups water

Apple-Kale-Lemon

  • 4 apples
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 2 cup of kale leaves
  • 2 cups water

Pear-Kale-Mint

  • 4 ripe pears
  • 5 leaves of kale
  • ½ bunch of mint
  • 2 cups water

Strawberry-Banana-Romaine

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 bananas
  • ½ bunch romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups water

 Method:

  1.     Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree.
  2. Note: Can add flax seed powder to all the above smoothies , as it is rich in nutrients , protein , good fatty acids and fiber.
  3. Note: To make it more sweet by natural way use honey or agave nectar
  4. Note : can add other vegetables such as carrots, beets , broccoli , kiwi , pine apple , orange ( Canned  or frozen beans , corn,  peas ,  edamame )
  5. Note: Adjust water amount accordingly.
