Ginger Tea ( Hot & Cold)

Having a cup of  ginger tea at any time of the day is enjoyable. During cold winters its soothing to sip hot hot and during summers its very refreshing and when a touch of lemon is added it becomes thirst quencher too. As ginger is used in all sorts of cooking all around the world as it we know many benefits, as ginger can cure nausea, headaches, migraines,  stomach congestion, flu… many different ailments! when consumed regularly.

Appx. Nutritional values : Calories (25Kcal), Carbohydrates (1 g ), Protein (0.2 g), Fat (0.1 g).

Ingredients:

  • Grated and pureed 1 cup fresh ginger
  • Honey or raw sugar 1 cup
  • Pine nuts

Method:

  1. In a clean and dry glass jar add  1 cup pureed ginger and 1 cup honey and mix well and refrigerate.
  2. To make hot ginger tea , take 1 tbsp. of above mixture in a cup and add boiling water to it , garnish with pine nuts and enjoy.
  3. To make cold ginger tea , take 1 tbsp. of above mixture in a cup and add ice cold water , give a good mix and garnish with pine nuts and enjoy.

Variations: Add some fresh squeezed lemon juice .
