Ingredients:
- Drum Stick 5 nos
- Tamarind puree 1 tsp
- Tuar dal 2 cups
- Salt 11/2 tsp
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Cumin 1 tsp
- Fenugreek 1/2tsp
- Turmeric 1/4tsp
- Sambar powder 2 tbsp
- Curry leaves 5 nos
- Coriander 1/4 bunch
- Garlic pods 2 nos
- Redchillies 2 nos
- Oil 1 tbsp
Method:
- Wash and cut drumsticks or munaga kaya to one finger length pieces.
- Wash dal and add water and pressure cook both for 3 whistles .
- Heat a pan and put tadka and add chopped garlic to the tadka .
- Now add munaga kaya pieces cooked medium soft .
- Mix well and add water well mixed with tamarind puree.
- Add curry leaves ,turmeric , salt and sambar powder and bring it to boil.
- Now add cooked mashed tuar dal to the boiled water .
- Bring it boil after cooking it for 5min.
