Crunchy Spaghetti Balls with Sauce

Ingredients:

For Spaghetti balls

  • 2 tbsp: Butter
  • 1 nos. Onion (finely chopped)
  • 6 tbsp: Maida
  • 2 cups: Milk (hot)
  • ½ cup: Corn (boiled)
  • ½ packet: Spaghetti (boiled and drained)
  • To taste: Black pepper powder
  • To taste: Salt
  • ½ packet: Mozzarella cheese (cut into cubes)
  • For frying: Oil

For Sauce

  • 2 tbsp: Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp: Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 nos. Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 stalks: Celery (finely chopped)
  • 1 nos. Green Capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 4 nos. Tomatoes (blanched & finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp: Tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp: Oregano
  • To taste: Black pepper powder
  • To taste: Salt
  • 2 tbsp: heavy Cream

Method:
1. Heat butter, sauté onions till translucent and mix in maida. Sauté till golden and whisk in milk.
2. Cook mixture till thick, mix in corn, spaghetti, pepper and salt. Cool the mixture.
3. Shape the spaghetti mixture into balls and stuff each with a piece of mozzarella.
4. For the sauce, heat oil and sweat the garlic, onions, celery and capsicum.
5. Mix in the tomatoes and cook till done. Mix in tomato sauce, oregano, pepper and salt and cook for 2 minutes more. Finish with cream.
6. Heat oil and fry spaghetti balls till golden and crisp. Serve hot with prepared sauce.
