Crunchy Soya Nuggets


Crunchy Soya Nuggets Soya , is the product that can be enjoyed in various forms and textures like fresh soya beans as edema ma , roasted soya nuts, fermented products that can be easily digested such as milk , tofu . Which can be enjoyed as such or can be used in various food preparations.  One among these is dry and dehydrated form of soya as nuggets that we are very much aware in India. This soya is very much native to some of Asian countries such as China, Korea, Japan. As now it is going global and knowing the importance of soya in every day’s diet, we are trying to introduce soya products in to Indian dishes so it goes well with Indian meals.

These nuggets can be enjoyed at any time and on any day by any one. It is very simple, filling and gets the benefit of good health plant protein by all means.

  •  1 cup Dry soya nuggets (chunks)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Red chili powder
  • Pinch of Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp. Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp. Cumin powder
  • 1tbsp. Oil


  1. Take big sauce pan and boil water, when the water is hot, drop 1 cup of soya nuggets and 1 tsp. of salt and cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Now take the pan off the heat and the soya to absorb water for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes we can see that the nuggets swell and double their size.
  3. Now pass the nuggets through cold water and later squeeze them to take out water.
  4. Take another pan and put on medium flame, add 1 tbsp. of oil. Once the oil is hot add nuggets and
  5. Keep tossing them till they are crisp for about 5 minutes.
  6. Now take them off the heat add salt, chili powder, turmeric, coriander and cumin powder and toss well so that all the nuggets get coated.
  7. Now it’s time to enjoy these crispy, spicy nuggets.


  • If the nuggets get cold and dry, just microwave for 1 minute, the nuggets become crispy and fresh.
  • We can take a microwave bowl add water, salt and dry nuggets and microwave for 3 minutes
