Cauliflower Green Peas Curry (பூக்கோசு உம் பச்சை பட்டாணி குழம்பு,కాలిఫ్లోవేర్ పచ్చి బటాని కూర, फूलगोभी और हरे मटर सब्ज़ी) This is a delicious side dish with any meat or can easily be served with rice as a main course.

Ingredients to serve :

  • Cauliflower   1 large cut into florets
  • Tomatoes chopped (medium sized)     3
  • Green Chillies chopped  2
  • Onion (medium) chopped 1
  • Fresh Green Peas   1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste   1 tablespoon
  • Curry Leaves   2 stems
  • Red  Chilli Powder  1 tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder (dhaniya)  1/2 tablespoon
  • Mustard Seeds (Avalu)   1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds (Jeelakarra)  1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder   3/4 teaspoon
  • Oil   3 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  1. Boil the cauliflower florets in water for 10 mins and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter.
  3. Now add chopped green chillies, curry leaves, chopped onions and saute till onion turns translucent.
  4. Add turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste, fry for 5mins.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, salt and fry till it turns soft.
  6. Now add boiled cauliflower florets and green peas and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis/rice.
