  • Potato  2 ( Small sliced pieces )
  • Onions  1
  • Cumin seeds  1 tsp.
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp.
  • Red chilli powder  1 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 5 to 7 tbs.


  1. Take pan and heat oil in that and add mustard seeds , cumin seeds  , when they pop up add thinly diced onions and potato pieces and fry on medium heat , while stirring in between to prevent from burning at the bottom.
  2. Now when the potatoes and onions shrink the size and also the color changes to brown and crisp.
  3. Add red chilli powder , turmeric powder , salt and fry for 1 minute and take them off the heat.
  4. Serve with steamed rice.
